Kashmir - Leh : 07 NIGHTS AND 08 DAYS

Day 1 : Srinagar Arrival AndLocal Sightseeing

You willstart your Kashmir trip when you arrive at the Srinagar International Airport.Our driver will be ready to pick you up with your name placard. He will assistyou with loading the baggage into the car. Now, after leaving the airport, youcan either check in at your hotel or go for local sightseeing. Localsightseeing will include Mughal gardens like Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden,Botanical Garden, Chasm-e-Shahe, and Pari Mahal. After this, you can also dothe famous Shikararide in the Dal lake. In Dal Lake, you can have fruit chat,and Kashmiri Kehwa or Nun Chai (salt tea). At the end of the day, our driverwill drop you off at your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar 112 Kms.

Full day tour ofGulmarg which is one of the most beautiful summer resorts in the valley. It isalso   popular    for its  golf course   (in summer), thehighest in the world   and   skiing during the winter season. Enjoy thesplendor of nature and the snowy mountains. One can have Gondola ride (cablecar) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg In the evening return to Srinagar .Dinner andovernight at Hotel.

Day 3: Srinagar – Sonmarg - Kargil 205 Kms

Leave in the morningand drive to Kargil by car and road passes through the panoramic village reachSonmarg (2740 Mtrs) After Sonmarg most rough road and wet Zojila pass 3527 Mtrs(Gateway of Ladakh). Continue drive towards Drass (The second coldest inhibitedplace in the world) we stop here for tea and passport check. Another two andhalf hours drive will take us to Kargil (2710 Mtrs) which has got its importanceafter opening of Ladakh for tourists in 1974. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4: Kargil – Leh 235 Kms

Leave in the morningfull day drive to Leh today we have to ascend three passes this day will betiresome but panoramic too. First Buddhist village will be Mulbek.  We have to cross the highest pass (Fotula13749 ft.) on Srinagar Leh route. At lunch time we will be at Lamayuru oldestMonastery. Continue drive to next village Nimu a view of Zanskar Riverfollowing into Indus. Finally we reach Leh 3500 Mtrs. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5: Leh – Monasteries

Day excursion to thefamous monasteries, it is interesting to visit early in the morning to enjoythe praying ceremony at Thiksey monastery. Continue drive to Hemismonasterywhich is one of the most famous monasteries of the Ladakh region. On the wayback visit to Shey Palace, Sindu Darshan and Ranchoo school. Overnightat Hotel.

Day 6: Leh – Pangong   135 Kms 5 Hours

After breakfast leavefor Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass.Continue drive to Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbukand from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake. Enjoythe landscape in the back drop of the Lake. This famous blue brackish Lake ofPangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half of it’s running theother side of the “INDO CHINA BORDER”. One rarely feels so close to nature andenvironment and the scenery is unforgettable. Overnight at Camp.

Day 7:Pangong- Leh  135 Kms 5 Hours

In the morning visitaround the lake, after breakfast leave for Leh. Check in the hotel. PM free forpersonal activities or visit bazar. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 8: Leh - Delhi

Transfer in time tothe airport to connect onwards flight for Delhi.
